Xochimilco and the world of Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera
Join in our private experinece 7h tour, we will visit Coyoacan neighborhood, Frida´s museum, Diego´s studio house and Xochimilco
Dynamics of experience
-We will visit one of the most emblematic places and it is also considered the second most visited museum in Mexico City ¨The blue house of Frida Kahlo¨ You can see part of her work,clothes, rooms, kitchen and her amazing studio
-We will go for a walking tour of the historic center of Coyoacan, it is one of the most colorful and beautiful neighborhoods in Mexico City.
-We wil try a traditional churro
-We will go to the Diegos´s House-Studio in San Angel designed by the architect and muralist Juan O´Gorman an emblematic place of the modern architecture in Mexico and the most intimate place for the Mexican muralist Diego Rivera where he made the most important his painting collection.
-Finally, we will go to ride a colorful trajinera in Xochimilco´s canals that were declared part of UNESCO World Heritage in 1987. A site with many colors, floating kitchens, greenhouses and the local craft market. You can see how the trajineras are enjoying with the music of Mariachi, Marimbas, Norteños and trios.
At the end of the experience we will take you back to your accomodation
We return to Mexico City approximately 5:00 PM
